Wrapping things up

This is the season when we wrap up a lot of things. Classes come to an end and we start getting into the holiday spirit, which means that we not only wrap up classes but presents as well. This has been a week where I have wrapped up a lot of things. Since all the people I wrap up gifts for read this blog I guess I'll just talk about the other things that I am wrapping up

1. My undergraduate degree. I am officially signed up to graduate after March and am signed up for my last quarter here at the University of Washington. I have two more full time classes and a three hour a week, one class credit job at ILABS. This means I'll also have more time in my schedule to try to find a job. I am going to need to have some money saved up soon.

2. My application to Alberta. This Thursday I completed the last of things that I will have to do for the application. I rounded up the people to write me letters of recommendation, I paid for my UW transcripts and sent in my documents. Now it is up to them. If all goes well I'll be getting a phone call in January and conduct an interview. If that goes well I'll be moving to Edmonton at the end of March. This provides a large amount of the motive to be looking for the hypothetical job mentioned in point one as I will be moving in with Alexandra and we hope to have enough money to go to school and still pay rent and eat. We like eating

3. My classes. I am in my last week of class now. I have one assignment, one in class presentation and a few tests left. After this it is all smooth sailing. I'll be done with this quarter and on my way to the next. And this make me happy.

4. The 90 day count down to the time that I can be with Alexandra. We have literally been counting the days since the moment I left Edmonton. Alexandra and I talk on skype every day and each day we keep telling each other "only 70 days left" "only 34 days left" et cetera. Very recently we got to say "we are in the single digits now" or "one week left". Now we are both getting very excited to say "SIX DAYS LEFT!!!!" We are both very excited to be spending the holidays together and to introducing her to all of the family of mine who read this blog.

5. Christmas shopping. I have presents for Alexandra and my Dad already. Today I bought my mom's present. Today I went down to Barnes and Noble to get some ideas and it was a madhouse. Between the throngs of people, the gift wrapping station and the men dressed up as Storm Troopers from Star Wars I decided it would be better to hold off on shopping there until a week day where it should be a bit less hectic.

6. This blog post. I am getting close to being done wrapping this one up. This is this season of wrapping. I hope you enjoyed my blog this time and will be writing another one soon.
